Let me tempt you to spend some holidays in Tenerife by visiting the top four luxury rooftop bars in the south of the Island. There are more than beaches in Tenerife! The rooftop bars that I have selected will fascinate you by the most amazing sunset view. They also serve the best cocktails that will set you in the right mood to start the night. Check the pictures and imagine yourself enjoying a drink surrounded by a luxury view.
Soon it will be one year since I have been living in the beautiful island of Tenerife, in particular Tenerife south. I’m slowly discovering the best that this part of the island has. For example, Tenerife has the most amazing sunset, sprinkled with pastel colours that spread harmony and peace. The best spots to have a perfect sunset view are the four rooftop bars that I’m about to present you. They are my top four sky bars, not only for the sunset view, but also for the luxury decor, service, quality and the expertise of the mixologists (bartenders specialized on the creation of cocktails).

Zambra SkyBar is my favourite spot to end my day in the best way possible. They have a panoramic/infinity pool where you can swim at the same time you are watching the sunset and drinking a delicious cocktail. My suggestions go for zambra and sakura cocktails. The price range is around €15 per cocktail.
Zambra Skybar is located at the GF Victoria Hotel, a 5 star luxury hotel with spa, right in the center of the city. Besides serving unique signature cocktails, they also serve exquisite meals. You can enjoy the glass pool, even if you aren’t staying at the hotel, by paying a day pass of €50.

Café del Mar in Playa de las Américas is the place to go for lounge music and exotic cocktails. The atmosphere is ideal to come with friends, relax and watch the sun go down on the horizon. They serve snacks and light meals.

You can enjoy the live music from the resident DJ every sunset and start the night with the perfect vibe to explore Tenerife’s nightlife or you can stay for the thematic parties that Café del Mar hosts every two weeks, if you prefer staying at the posh surroundings of the rooftop.
Café del Mar is part of the Tigotan Hotel, a 4 star hotel with an impressive restaurant at the entrance, gym, an infinity pool and right next to it, a hydromassage pool.

At Maresia Atlantic Bar everything is exquisite, from the panoramic pool to the cocktails, there isn’t a detail that is not thought with care and sophistication. The mixologist makes sure to prepare the cocktails with the best Canarian ingredients. The sunset at the infinity pool is a dream scenario to enjoy the best view over Tenerife and on a clear day, you can see the Gomera island right across the ocean.
Maresia Atlantic Bar is located at the Royal Hideaway Corales Beach Hotel, a top luxury hotel in the finest area of Tenerife, La Caleta. You can read my article about their restaurant, also at the rooftop, bellow:

The 16th sky lounge bar is a phenomenal rooftop bar with a resident DJ, amazing panoramic views over the island and a friendly staff ready to serve you with quality and promptness. There is a summer vibe into The 16th, probably because it gets filled up with tourists from all over the world and everyone is happy, enjoying and taking pictures.
The 16th is part of the Hard Rock Hotel. At the lobby of the hotel, they always have live performances from different artists. It’s a very bubbly environment. The only thing they don’t have compared to the other rooftops is the infinity pool, nonetheless, they compensate with the wide and modern space of the bar.

CONCLUSION
There is so much to visit and to do as in the south of Tenerife. You will always be entertained by the outdoor activities, beaches, waterparks and the rooftops too. Even if you have children, the rooftops are pleasant and welcoming for toddlers. And in my opinion, the best of the island are the sunsets, hence I write this article, where you can select the best spots, rather than beaches, to enjoy the beautiful sunset of Tenerife.
If you are planning to visit Tenerife, check my top favourite beaches and guachinches, a typical rustic and traditional Canarian type of restaurant:
