After pandemic times, most of us, turned into a more simple and natural way of doing makeup. Part of a natural makeup routine is using a light coverage foundation, such as CC cream or tinted moisturizer. Looking for a foundation that will cover imperfections, lines or blemishes and still feel light on skin, can be a difficult task. For that reason, I went to Sephora and tried three light coverage foundations to achieve a more natural makeup. I chose Fenty Beauty Eaze Drop Blurring Skin Tint, Erborian CC Water and Chanel Les Beiges Water-Fresh Tint. Which one is the winner? Keep reading to get the answer.
So many things have changed after covid times. One of them, has been our makeup routine, which is simplified now to a few products that are easy and quick to be applied. I started mixing my moisturiser with my daily foundation, just to get a fresh, dewy and natural complexion. Hence I asked myself, why not looking for a tinted moisturiser? And so I did it. I got myself into Sephora and asked for help to find a good tinted moisturiser. The lady that helped me was super sweet and gave me 3 samples from the following tinted moisturisers:
- Fenty Beauty Eaze Drop Blurring Skin Tint in shade 14;
- Erborian CC Water in shade Dore;
- Chanel Les Beiges Water-Fresh Tint in shade Light Deep.

Let me review each one and tell you which one is the winner!
FENTY BEAUTY EAZE DROP BLURRING SKIN TINT

This 100% cruelty free light coverage foundation that fits into the category of tinted moisturisers, is very easy to work with. The fluid texture can be applied with a brush or fingers. The QuickBlur complex guarantees a hydrating finish and blurred effect on skin. It is available in 25 shades.

I have tried the shade 14, medium with warm olive undertones, and the moment I applied it on my skin, I liked it so much. It gives a natural glow, as if you had a facial, and your skin looks evenly hydrated. It doesn’t oxidise as it happens often with tinted moisturisers and gives that no-makeup look that I adore nowadays. I applied a bit of powder after, because of my oily T-zone and for the 6 hours I had it on, it behaved beautifully. My skin looked even, youthful and natural. Fenty Beauty products never disappoint.

Erborian CC Water is a CC cream (CC – colour correcting), that is infused with Centella Asiatica, being soothing and anti-inflammatory, and hyaluronic acid to increase hydration and elasticity. The water-gel formula has encapsulated pigments that once in contact with skin get blended with skin’s natural tone.

I tried Erborian CC Water in shade Dore and magically the pigments blend on skin perfectly. It’s a very light coverage, almost as if you not wearing anything on the face. I would recommend this CC cream for those lazy days that you still want to have your skin looking radiant and even. I liked the texture and how it feels on skin, but for my oily skin, it doesn’t last more than 3 hours, unfortunately.

CHANEL LES BEIGES WATER FRESH TINT

The lightweight formula of Chanel Water Fresh Tint is composed by 75% of water, based on the MicroFluidic technology and tamarind seed extract to provide extra moisture and energize skin. The gel texture filled with the micro pigments that blend easily with skin’s natural tone, results in an explosion of hydration and comfort to the skin.

My shade in Chanel Water Fresh Tint is Light Deep. I have to warn you that it can oxidise a bit, so before buying, ask for a sample just to see how it goes throughout the day. I like the consistency and the radiance it gave to my skin. It was easy to blend and I can say for my oily t-zone it behaved perfectly.

FINAL THOUGHTS
The 3 tinted moisturisers in terms of hydration perform well, giving a nice fresh radiance. Erborian CC Water is the one with less coverage. Chanel Les Beiges Water Fresh Tint gives more coverage than Erborian CC Water and since both textures include pigments, I would chose Chanel. The big winner for me is Fenty Eaze Drop Blurring Skin Tint, because it gave instantly a healthy glow to my skin, creating a youthful complexion.
Even though I’m more attracted nowadays to light coverage foundations, I can’t resist to compensate on my eye makeup and create the colourful looks you seen above on the pictures. I’m just saying this, in case you are wondering about the strong eye makeup!
🙂
Wishing a peaceful weekend.

You know how much I like my favourite Finnish brand, but if anyone could tempt me to try something else, it would be you 🙂
Thank you Reija💗
These three tinted moisturizers sound really nice, I would love to try them all. Having dry skin I think even the Erborian CC Water would perform well. Thank you for sharing this review!
