Sephora Skincare Shopping Haul

For beauty shopping, there is nothing like Sephora. Unfortunately, in UK, we are deprived from Sephora stores, so once you get the chance to go to one, it’s really hard to resist temptation. In this skincare shopping haul, I have tried products from Ole Henriksen, Dr. Jart+, Erborian, Isle of Paradise and Guerlain. Discover the details of each product that altogether create a glowing, radiant and plumped skin.

After treating my mild acne, which I posted last week: Anti-Age Skincare for Acne Skin, I wanted something to bring more luminosity to my skin. Walking into Sephora was my perfect excuse, to bring that wish into reality. I have dwelt what would be the skincare worth trying and my hint went for:

  • Ole Henriksen Sauna Scrub and Truth Serum,
  • Erborian Milk and Peel Balm,
  • Dr Jart+ Ceramidin Eye Cream,
  • Isle of Paradise Self-Tanning Drops,
  • Guerlain Abeille Royale Black Bee Honey Balm,
  • Sephora The Peeling Mask and The Heating Mask.

By the end of this article, watch the video of how I combined these products together.

THE CLEANSERS

Erborian Milk and Peel Balm and Ole Henriksen Sauna Scrub

Erborian Milk and Peel Balm 75ml – I love trying oil and balm cleansers, just for the fact that they get rid of makeup, pollution and dirt in one go. Some of them are so good, that instantly remove the toughest eye makeup. These always become my favourite cleansers. Was this the case of Erborian Milk and Peel Balm? Quite honestly, no! It didn’t impress me at all! This Korean cleansing oil-in-balm with sesame milk, it doesn’t remove waterproof makeup and it feels so greasy that you will definitely need to use after a gel cleanser to remove the oil leftovers. It’s £26 that don’t compensate at all. So I’m sticking to my usual Superfacialist Vitamin C+ Skin Renew Cleansing Oil 200ml (post here). The Erborian Milk and Peel Balm I reckon is good for dry skin and for people who don’t use makeup and are only looking for a cleanser that hydrates without the need of putting a moisturiser after.

Ole Henriksen Pore-Balance™ Facial Sauna Scrub™ 85gThis scrub is amazing! The heating effect you get on your face, once you apply it, it does take you into a sauna. Then, when you remove it, the soft minty fresh effect you get it’s so satisfying! The skin feels renewed, hydrated and radiant. The formula inspired by traditional Scandinavian Spas, creates a warm and cool effect that purifies skin, absorbs excess of oil, refines, unclogs and minimize the appearance of pores. The ingredients like glycolic acid and lactic acid contribute for a balanced, matte and healthier skin.

THE MASKS

Sephora The Peeling and Heating Mask

Sephora The Peeling Mask – With 90% natural ingredients based in fruit acids, this mask promises to renew your skin in only 3 minutes. I did like it and it felt comfortable on my skin. Below you can see the mask and the back of the packaging.

Sephora The Heating Mask – Such an unique mask! The volcanic extract and heating crystals have an immediate sauna effect that relax your face and release the natural luminosity of your skin. A recommendation that I want to highlight is that this mask should be open carefully, because the liquid inside it has a honey texture and it can stain your clothes. Surely, the advantage of a sheet mask richly soaked is that you get a higher level of nutrition and hydration. The mask application is only 10 minutes. Check the video at the end, to see how the mask looks like.

THE CREAMS AND SERUMS

By order: Guerlain Abeille Royale Black Bee Honey Balm, Dr Jart+ Eye Cream, Isle of Paradise Self-Tanning Drops and Ole Henriksen Truth Serum

Guerlain Abeille Royale Black Bee Honey Balm 30ml – I have a strange skincare routine of applying rich balms specifically on my expression lines and this balm is similar to the one I was using also from Guerlain, Abeille Royale Honey Smile Lift, but has been discontinued. Guerlain Abeille Royale Black Bee Honey Balm nourishes deeply dry and extra dry skin, reducing significantly the appearance of wrinkles and imperfections caused by lost of elasticity and hydration. I love the honey smell and the delicate creamy texture that gets quickly absorbed once it’s applied. I would recommend it, if you have dry patches or simply like me, you are looking for something that will reduce expression lines.

Dr. Jart+ Ceramidin Eye Cream 20mlFinally a high-end eye cream that really targets lines and dark circles effectively, without being overly expensive. Dr.Jart+’s Ceramidin Complex™ rich in ceramides, increases the natural moisture levels of the skin to bring a more supple skin. The under eye area becomes more soft and brightened. This eye cream has a balm texture that feels super light when you put it on. I am preparing an article for this range Ceramidin and so far from what I have tried, I can say it’s a repairing and super hydrating range, designed for skin that lacks elasticity or hydration.

Isle of Paradise Self-Tanning Drops Dark 30ml – For me this is a must have for summer. The first time I tried it, I could see instantly after two hours that my face looked tanned and glowy. I tend to have a problem, when I get tanned, my body tans quicker than my face. Isle of Paradise Self-Tanning Drops takes care of that problem wonderfully. It evens out the skin tone between my face and body, which was exactly what I wanted. One or two drops mixed with your moisturiser are enough to get you in touch with your summer best looking skin. My advice to use these drops is to use them in the morning and night time wash your face to stop the self tanning to keep developing, if not, instead of having a natural tan, you will be getting an artificial orange tan. I chose the shade dark to match my tanned body.

Isle of Paradise Self Tanning Drops Dark: the result in only two hours.

Ole Henriksen Truth Serum 30ml – This vitamin C serum it’s the best I have tried so far and I have tried so many that I am actually surprised I was positively impressed by it. Why I like it so much? The fresh citrus reinvigorating smell wakens up your skin to a new dimension of plumpness, luminous and lifted face. It’s an incredible anti-aging serum that shows results in less than a week. Even for skin that is prone to blemishes, imperfections, mild acne or is sensitive, Truth Serum it’s still suitable. My sensitive skin, for example, didn’t react at all.
