Pristine waters, white sand, palm trees and a torrid sun, the perfect holiday scenario. Ayia Napa in Cyprus it seems taken from a paradisiac holiday postcard with a warm and crystal-clear beach. The Mediterranean Sea transforms this holiday destination into a summer dream for the eyes. I just spent one day there, but it was enough to make me fall in love. Let yourself be seduced by the pictures in this article from the magical Ayia Napa.
Last week, my boyfriend and I flew to Limassol, in Cyprus. From London to Cyprus, an increase from 15 to 30 degrees, suddenly summer became a reality. I was in my favourite element. Since the moment we arrived, my boyfriend kept telling me, he needed to show me Ayia Napa, because I would totally love it. He was so right! The best bit of these holidays was kept for the last day when we visited Ayia Napa.
I couldn’t believe what my eyes were seeing. When you live in a grey and rainy weather like London, places like Ayia Napa seem surreal. The dazzling scenario with transparent sea water and sun heated sand that kisses your feet softly, is a true paradise where nature took its time and effort to bring perfection into reality.

ACTIVITIES
If you are not a fan of laying down on the beach whilst tanning your skin, then there are other things to do in Aya Napa. Besides, having places to eat and drink with music to keep you awake and ready for party, you can enjoy going on a ride of a jet ski, canoeing or doing other water sports and visit the small islet in the middle of the beach where you can take professional pictures of the beach from a higher perspective. I went for a jet ski ride with my boyfriend and the fresh breeze mixed with salted water splashed on our faces when riding the waves, rushed all the adrenaline in our bodies, giving a fearless sensation of freedom. Totally recommended!
DINNER
By the end of the day, we went to dinner on a seaside restaurant called Vassos, where they serve several fish and seafood dishes. We enjoyed a massive fish and seafood platter, followed by a frutti di mare linguine as you can see on the picture.
And some desserts too: red berries panna cotta and key lime pie, yummy!
After we went for a quick walk around the restaurant, before heading Limassol.
If you still haven’t planned your holidays, I truly recommend Ayia Napa. You don’t have to quarantine in Cyprus, if you are coming from UK, although on the way back, in UK you will need to quarantine. To travel to Cyprus, you will need a negative PCR covid test and to fill a locator form.
Summer has started! How has been yours so far?
