Even though that my blog is mostly for makeup product reviews, I felt I should write and share with you my experience in the Glamour Beauty Festival. I had so much fun and there were so many skincare and makeup freebies!
I went this last Saturday morning and they chose a beautiful place to do this beauty event, The Saatchi Gallery in Sloane Square, London.
When I arrived, they gave me those wristbands you get when you go to festivals, so straight away you feel special for being part of it.
The event was separated in 5 different main sections: hair, skincare, makeup, fragrance and nails.
Focusing on the makeup section, there were so many brands: Kat Von D, Revlon, Nude by Nature, Elizabeth Arden, Laura Mercier and Nars. All of them, were offering makeovers and makeup lessons. It was just a pitty that the queues were always so big. At least, all of these brands were included in the goodie bag I got with my ticket.
Unfortunately I couldn’t stay as long as I wanted, so I didn’t have the chance to see Wendy Rowe talking about her career as an international celebrity makeup artist. I hope next year I will have the chance to go with more time and with friends. This sort of festivals are more fun when you go with friends and you don’t even mind to be in the queues waiting.
Quickly going through the pros and cons, I liked the interaction there was in the fragrance section. Guerlain hosted really well that section, there were people spraying the new fragrance, giving samples and their area to take pictures was so beautiful, representing the flowers part of Mon Guerlain.
Besides loving all the freebies they gave to us, I enjoyed as well the competitions they had going on in Alcatel and in Twining Tea.
The only downside of this festival was the makeup freebies, which were so much less comparing to the skincare and hair goodies.
Hopefully if I go next year, there will be more makeup items in my goodie bag 🙂
Anyway overall, I had fun and it was a beautiful event to participate and there should be more like this in London!
